"Make yourself an instrument of your own policy."

I have come to understand that not many of us emphasize character and values in our personal lives. Maybe we do, without rigorous guidelines and forethought, or it is innate and tends to happen naturally. Whatever the case, bring your conscience into focus to find your values. Challenge yourself to develop values that correlate with your principles. Identify what you find essential. It will allow you to find some peace of mind and self-worth. It can be as simple as writing down the things you value or the morals you associate with. The more you align yourself to the center of your beliefs, the more control you will have over your life. For me, this is how things began to fall into place. It is a means of being human, and being present is required to fulfill this process. Breathe your words, heed your advice, and do not give anyone a reason to question your integrity.

"Make yourself an instrument of your own policy."
